Oscar winning actress Angelina Jolie before making house with movie star brad pitt

Before making house with movie star Brad Pitt, Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie didn't have a problem generating headlines solo: She shared a shocking kiss with her brother, had bisexual interludes with a Calvin Klein model and wore a vial of ex-husband Billy Bob Thorton's blood around her neck.

Of late, though, the bee stung-lipped wild child has transformed into a globe-trotting U.N. goodwill ambassador and mother of six – three of them adopted (Maddox, Pax and Zahara) and three (daughter Shiloh and twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline) conceived with Pitt, with whom she shares the frenzy that is ''Brangelina.''

The blame game : The denial and delusion that means nothing is ever Lindsay Lohan's fault

Lindsay Lohan's rep, Steve Honig immediately denied that his client's rumoured money worries had started affecting her ability to take care of herself, rushing out a statement insisting, "Lindsay is widely acknowledged as one of the most stunning actresses of her day, and we get requests every week wanting to do photoshoots with her from top photographers." And Honig's press release was predictably echoed by Lindsay's mother, Dina, who insisted that her troubled 25-year-old daughter was "great" and "wonderful".

Now sporting a face that's almost as immovable as Kylie Minogue's and Nicole Kidman's, Lindsay has now been telling pals that the US probation department is "out to get her", following her recent court-ordered probation hearing before Judge Stephanie Sautner - the woman who last attempted to put Lindsay behind bars and sentenced her to 480 hours of community service - with the actress writing on her Whosay account, "I am not to be made an example of."But after numerous DUI arrests, many stints in rehab and an arrest for the theft of a necklace from a Californian jewellery store, all of which the actress had numerous and creative excuses for, Lindsay now appears to be running on empty when it comes to talking her way out of trouble.

Super Star Shah Rukh Khan has another winner on his hands with Ra.One

Shah Rukh Khan has another winner on his hands with Ra.One.The Grand Cineplex  last night to watch and review the film. The movie started a good hour-and-a-half later than the scheduled time but the audience were willing to wait as S.Khan himself addressed them in each of the halls.“I’m going to keep it short as the viewing is quite delayed. But would like to thank all my friends without whom this would not have been possible”.

The movie begins with a funny dream sequence where the hero is going to save his girl from the evil. Shekhar Subramaniam (Shah Rukh Khan) is a graphics specialist working for Barron Industries that makes video games and a man who loves his wife Sonia (Kareena Kapoor) and son Prateek (Armaan Verma).Prateek however thinks his father is “not cool”, mistaking Shekhar’s sensibility for cowardice and lack of spunk. Though he believes it’s always good that wins in the end, to make Prateek happy, Shekhar decides to build a video game Random Access One aka Ra.One where the villain will be stronger than hero. However, just like Frankenstein, the Ra.One becomes a living source of evil who not only kills Shekhar and his colleague but wants Lucifer who was the only one who could defeat him. And Shekhar is reborn as G.One, his digital image from the game to combat Ra.One.

The movie’s special effects team has nicely packaged a typical Bollywood potboiler as a slick thriller, on the lines of Hollywood’s Matrix, X-Men and similar sci-fi films, under the supervision of Jeff Kleiser who has contributed to films such as Tron, Stargate, Judge Dredd and X-Men to name a few. Combined with crisp sound design by Slumdog Millionaire’s Oscar winning Rasool Pookutty, this kind of sci-fi thriller is new to the Indian cinemagoer and will be highly appreciated, especially in 3D, which unfortunately we didn’t get to watch.

Shah Rukh turns screenplay writer with biographer Mushtaq Shaikh and Kanika Dhillon. The dialogue written by Dhillon and Niranjan Iyenger is punchy and funny at various times. The audience were also in splits when superstar Rajnikanth as Chitti and Khalnayak Sanjay Dutt made their cameos on screen. While Chhamak Chhalo Kapoor sizzled only in one scene, Khan held the film from the beginning, first as the geek then as the superhero. Little Verma was good as Prateek while Rampal always makes a good baddie.

Describing it as his most ambitious project, Shah Rukh Khan has been on a multi-city tour and travelled all over India, from Chennai to Jaipur, from Bhopal to Bangalore and from Kolkata to Delhi to promote this film and to reach out to his fans.According to Shah Rukh, the idea of the whirlwind tour was to inform people about the movie so that they know what to expect when they come to the cinema halls.Sunil, deputy manager of Jaipur's Golcha cinema, says that people are counting days to watch Shah Rukh on the big screen after almost two years. Looking at the pre-release histeria that the film has created, Sunil plans to add more shows.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Ra.One, which also stars Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, is made at a budget of about Rs.150 crore and boasts of world class special effects and graphics. The festive mood seems to have added extra enthusiasm among people. The promos have generated enough curiosity among people to watch this superhero film in which Shah Rukh is playing G.One or Jeevan, while Arjun Rampal plays the evil character of Ra.One.The enthusiasm of people is evident in Chandigarh too where fans have been enquiring about advance booking for the past two weeks. The advance booking scene is equally encouraging in cities like Bangalore and Indore.
